Practice Test Exams for O-NET in Thailand

The Ordinary National Educational Test (O-NET) is administered annually by the National Institute of Educational Testing Service to Primary 6, Grade 9 and Grade 12 students in Thailand. At Sriwittayapaknam School, we start preparing our IEP students from Primary 1. The aim is for our Primary 4 students to score at least 85% in the Primary 6 exam. The following are the practice exams that our students take. You are welcome to use them for free.

Practice O-Net Exams for Primary 6: 01 | 02 03 | 04

PART 1: VOWEL SOUNDS. In this section, students have to read single words or groups of words and identify which ones have the same vowel sound or start with the same vowel sounds. Sometimes the students have to identify which ones are different.

PART 2: PHOTOS. In this section, the students have to look at a picture and then read four statements. They have to choose the statement that best fits the picture. The statements refer to things such as the placement of objects, types of clothing, main actions, seasons etc. There also might be trick questions where the vocabulary is correct but the context is wrong.

PART 3: SIGNS. The students are presented with various kinds of signs. Some seen on the roads, and some in or near buildings. The students have to identify them.

PART 4: FESTIVALS. In this section, the students have to show their knowledge of festivals in Thailand and around the world.

PART 5: GRAPHS AND CHARTS. The students are presented with various graphs and have to answer questions based on this information.

PART 6: MAPS AND PLANS. In this section, the students are shown maps and plans and need to answer questions based on them.

PART 7: ADVERTS AND POSTERS. In this section, the students have to read adverts and posters and then answer questions about them.

PART 8: CONVERSATIONS. In this section, the students have to read conversations and statements which have words missing. They have to fill in the blanks.

PART 9: STORY TIME. In this final section, the students have to read a story and then answer questions. Sometimes it is multiple choices, and sometimes it is fill in the blanks.
